Introduction

My name is Haifeng Huang. I am a player of Chen Style Xiaojia (Small Frame)
Taiji Quan. My teacher is Sifu Won Park. He has taught Chen, Yang, and Wu Taiji
in NJ for many years. It is not easy to find an authentic Taiji, as I was fortunate to
have learned one. His website is
http://www.wuweitaichi.org

Wuwei is the key idea of Daoism philosophy. Taiji Quan (Taichi martial art) is
based on this philosophy. By practicing Taiji Quan, the activities of our bodies and
minds can get closer and closer to Dao (The Way It Is).

Wuwei doesn’t mean doing nothing, as its literal meaning in Chinese. Wuwei really
means not doing unnecessary or interfering actions.  The result of Wuwei is true
relaxation. Contrary to most martial arts, Taiji obtains the power and efficiency
through the deep balance and harmony inside our bodies. This is why Taiji Quan
is one of internal martial arts.

This semester I am teaching undergraduate student Taiji class as described
above. This is an introductory class of Taiji.
